what is everthing you need to know on lessons for electric guitar?
i just got a guitar and i wanted to know whats is everything you need to know about a guitar…lessons and all
First of all, yo need a guitar pick id youplan to play the steel-string or electric guitar. Or, you just use your fingers for nylon-string classical guitar.
You need the insttument and that is a personal choice to you. You don;t need the top of the line either. Its how you play it that counts and how you make it sound. To really learn the guitar well, you have to love the instrument and it will become part of you.
Now for lessons, you need good posture and good left hand position with the palm always in parallel to the fingerboard. The right hand has to be able to alternate pick from the start which means that you need good co-ordination between both hands.
If you start off with a wrong technique, it will be very hard to break in the long run. The first lessons usually involve "Tuning the guitar" which is essential. The teacher has to teach you that because he or she won’t always be around if the guitar sounds out-of-tune and it needs tuning.
Here is a good site for any other questions.

Well they are usually made from wood, they can have "strings" of various elements and degrees. Since you said electric, when you strum it without "amplification" you get weak sound, this is because you don’t have the "space" for the sound to bounce around in. You do have "pic ups" that can be single coil on up to whatever you think would work, same goes for strings and type of guitars in general. So blah blah blah yaddy yaddy yadda several years later you learn you still suck and have a ton to still learn, but you may appreciate the language of music enough to know you make it, and that’s cool.

Besides the most important investment – guitar lessons, there are a bunch of good accessories you should get that will help you learn and make things easier for you. Tuner, case, metronome, etc. Check out the article.

Hmmm.. try doing specific searches using Google to find specific answers but there are some sites that give you a good overview on a guitar and what it is, how to play it etc… I’m self taught and used an ebook + video course to learn to play.. see the source for the link.
